3 SOs among 7 cops suspended in Chitrakoot | Lucknow News
Jhansi: In a significant disciplinary action, Chitrakoot SP Arun Kumar Singh suspended seven police personnel, including SOs of three police stations, in Chitrakoot district on Wednesday.This action followed the viral spread of a sting operation video showing some police personnel allegedly demanding an entry fee in exchange for allowing overloaded trucks to pass. The sting operation was conducted by a digital news channel, and the videos quickly gained traction on social media platforms.Taking exception to the videos, SP Arun Singh announced the suspension of the seven police personnel and ordered an inquiry into the matter. The suspended policemen include SO Bharatkoop police station Manoj Chaudhary, SO Pahari Anupama Tiwari and SO Rajapur Pankaj Tiwari. Additionally, sub-inspector Imran Singh and constables Ranbir Singh, Shubham Dwivedi and Ajay Kumar have also been suspended.
