16 cranes to enforce ‘noparking’ rule

Lucknow: The Lucknow traffic police, in collaboration with the municipal corporation, will launch a no-parking enforcement drive across eight major city zones starting Aug 6.The initiative will see the deployment of 16 cranes to tow away vehicles found parked in designated no-parking areas.The decision comes in response to rising complaints of illegal and haphazard parking on key commercial and high-traffic routes, which contributes to daily congestion and commuter inconvenience. Vehicles found violating parking regulations will be lifted and relocated to the nearest designated dumping yards.DCP, traffic, Kamlesh Dixit said vehicles parked in violation of the no-parking zones will be towed immediately without warning. “We urge citizens to avoid parking on the listed roads to avoid penalties and inconvenience,” he added.
