Yogi to give certificates to 1,600 students for completing training in future technologies

Lucknow: In a boost to practical training aligned with industry demands, 1,600 students from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University have successfully completed training under the Samsung Innovation Campus program, in collaboration with Samsung India.These students will receive their certificates from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday at a ceremony held at the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath auditorium. The event will also feature the presence of Samsung India president and CEO JB Park, along with Electronics Sector Skills Council of India chairman Vinod Sharma, as special guests. DDU vice chancellor Prof Poonam Tandon will preside over the ceremony. The Samsung Innovation Campus program provides training in future technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, and Coding and Programming. The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and Swadesh (Social Welfare & Development for Empowered Society) have collaborated to ensure the program’s success within the university campus. Prof Tandon emphasized the importance of initiatives like the Samsung Innovation Campus in accelerating the university’s ‘Skill to Employment’ mission. She noted that this program benefits not only the university’s students but also the broader youth population in the region, marking a historic step towards digital empowerment for Gorakhpur and Purvanchal.
