Viksit Uttar Pradesh-2047: Govt to seek public opinion via QR code, form panel | Lucknow News
Lucknow: To take the govt’s vision for Viksit Uttar Pradesh-2047 to the people and get their suggestions on the action plan, the state govt has generated a QR code through which the public will be able to learn about the govt’s proposals and give their own feedback. The govt is also in the process of putting together a team of around 500 retired bureaucrats, teachers, professors, and engineers, who will spread out across UP to familiarise people with the govt’s plans and solicit their feedback. Alok Kumar, principal secretary, planning separtment, said that the QR code has been generated and would be launched by the first week of Sept. Citizens will have roughly a month to send their suggestions through it. “We are almost ready with the portal where we will be receiving and collating these details. Our aim is to take this QR code down to every block and tehsil and ensure massive public participation in this project. By clicking the QR code, a person will be able to log into the portal and see what the initial plans of the govt are. Proposed work has been divided under 12 heads, and a person will be able to provide suggestions, etc., for each of the subheads,” he said. In addition to this, work has also begun on identifying the 500 members of the team that will hold dialogues with various sections of society. Once the team is in place, there will be a one-day orientation programme for them, after which they will be assigned districts and cities. A senior official said that the team would include retired bureaucrats, professors, teachers, engineers, etc. They will be given two days to hold their meetings, where they will apprise citizens about the govt’s plans, publicise the QR code, and seek suggestions. “This team will meet associations, institutions, intellectuals, and various other sections of society. Regular meetings are being held with potential members of this team, and we should have them ready very soon. The idea is to initiate the process of engagement with the public by the first week of Sept and finish within a month so that the govt is able to start processing these inputs as soon as possible,” the official said, adding that these will be collated with departmental inputs and a plan of action should be in place within the next six months or so.
