Lucknow: Thieves locked gates of neighbouring houses from outside before breaking into a locked home and stealing cash and jewellery in Thakurganj area. “Thieves decamped with Rs 50,000 cash and gold and silver jewellery. The total value of the stolen property is estimated to be around Rs 8 lakh,” the complainant said. CCTV footage showing suspicious movement during the night has surfaced on social media and is being analysed by police. “An FIR has been lodged and teams are questioning locals to identify the accused,” the SHO said.
