Passenger found unresponsive mid-flight,declared dead | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A medical emergency unfolded aboard Air India Express flight IX-2048 travelling from Bengaluru to Lucknow on Monday, when a 70-year-old passenger, Chandrashekhar Kumar, suddenly fell unconscious mid-air. The pilot alerted Lucknow airport authorities in advance, prompting medical teams to prepare for an emergency response.The flight touched down at 12:40 pm, and as soon as it reached the parking bay, Kumar was swiftly moved into an ambulance and rushed to Lok Bandhu Hospital. Despite immediate medical attention, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Medical officer Dr Ajay Shankar Tripathi confirmed that the passenger was brought in without any signs of life. Kumar, a resident of Bengaluru, had been travelling to Lucknow to visit his daughter, whose in-laws live in the city.
