Lucknow: In a major step towards bridging technology with justice, Uttar Pradesh Police has introduced NyaySanhita.in, an AI-powered platform that helps citizens, particularly women, understand and access legal provisions with ease. By allowing users to describe an incident in Hindi or English, the tool instantly suggests applicable legal sections, explains their relevance, and even maps old IPC and CrPC provisions to the new BNS, BNSS, and BSA codes, effective since July 1, 2024.“Legal awareness is the cornerstone of true empowerment. Through platforms like NyaySanhita.in, women can quickly understand their rights, report crimes effectively, and hold authorities accountable. This makes justice not only accessible but also transparent,” said ACP, Lucknow, Vineet Singh, who led the AI integration drive. Singh, who designed the site, said that the platform benefits police by reducing errors in section application, assists lawyers in building stronger cases, and empowers citizens to navigate the legal system confidently. The initiative comes under Mission Shakti, Uttar Pradesh’s flagship campaign for women’s safety and empowerment.
