CJI-designate to attend RMLNLU convocation

Lucknow: Chief Justice of India-designate Surya Kant will be the chief guest at the Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) convocation in the city on Sunday.The dress rehearsal for the ceremony was held on Saturday. “Supreme Court Judge Justice Vikram Nath, who is also the visitor of the university, will preside over the convocation while Allahabad high court Chief Justice Arun Bhansali will be the guest of honour,” said RMLNLU spokesperson Shashank Shekhar. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is the chairperson of the general council of the university, will also be present. RMLNLU will award a total of 21 medals (including Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Special Memorial Medals) to meritorious students and confer 309 degrees on its graduating students. During rehearsals, vice-chancellor Prof Amar Pal Singh said the students’ enthusiasm reflects “the true spirit of RMLNLU — where academic excellence meets institutional pride.”
