All must follow Sardar Patel’s path for nation’s unity: BJP | Lucknow News

Lucknow: BJP organised the “Run for Unity” in the state on Friday to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Friday.The run, which began at the district level with the pledge of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ was flagged off by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, UP BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary, national general secretary Arun Singh, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh, Union minister BL Verma, ministers and party functionaries. Chaudhary said the nation is paying homage to the ideals of Patel who united India. “This run is for the unity and integrity of the country,” he said, adding that the country was moving towards self-reliance with the mantra of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.“Our resolve should be to ensure our participation in building a self-reliant and developed India, along with national unity,” he said, urging people to follow the path shown by Sardar Patel and make valuable contribution in maintaining the nation’s unity, integrity, and security.Dharampal Singh said the very mention of the Iron Man fills the heart with reverence. “He was not only a leader but the architect of India’s unity, the creator of a united nation, and a karmayogi,” he said, adding that the map of India we see today was the result of Sardar Patel’s strong will.
