FIR after two workers steal gold worth lakhs from workshop | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Two staff members of a workshop preparing gold ornaments allegedly stole 180 grams of the precious metal worth several lakh from their workplace in Saadatganj, police said.The police lodged an FIR on Monday based on the complaint of workshop owner Dilshad Ahmed from Haata Bhikkham Khan Abdul Aziz Road in Saadatganj. As per police reports, Dilshad runs a gold jewelry factory and employed Aziz Ghazi and Alameen Ghazi from West Bengal as artisans. The duo had been employed at the workshop for the last three months. On June 3, 2025, Aziz and Alameen allegedly took away about 180 grams of gold kept in the factory without informing Dilshad. Dilshad said the duo didn’t report to work for the next day. Suspecting something fishy, he checked the CCTV footage and came to know about the theft. Thereafter, Dilshad made a lot of efforts to trace them but in vain. Then he approached the police which lodged an FIR on Monday. Dilshad has provided the CCTV footage to the police. Saadatganj SHO Santosh Arya said police found the escape route of the accused and further probe was on.
