Lucknow: The Times of India (TOI) crushed Electronic Media by 22 runs in the semi-final of the SBI Cup Media premier league (MPL) at Chowk stadium on Thursday.TOI, which registered its fourth consecutive win in the tournament, will face DD-AIR in the final match at KD Babu Singh stadium on Friday. Devesh Pandey’s brilliant half century guided TOI to post 150 runs on board in allotted overs. Devesh smashed 86 runs off 52 balls with the help of eight boundaries and three sixes. Rishi Singh Sengar made 35 off 36 balls with two boundaries. In reply, Electronic Media were bundled out 128 in 19 overs. Only Rahul Bist could fight for the team and scored 44 off 34 balls. For TOI, Shalabh Saxena grabbed four wickets, Mohsin Usmani and Rajiv Srivastava took two wickets each. In the other semi final, DD-AIR defeated LSJA XI by four wickets.
