Lucknow: The annual Pensioners Day was celebrated on Wednesday where representatives from various departments, around 24 pensioners’ associations and their members came together to resolve issues pertaining to pensioners.The event was organised in Lucknow under an additional district magistrate. The pensioners presented their problems on various issues and held discussions on their resolutions. A special demand was raised to make widowed daughters-in-law eligible for pensions as well, and they were assured that the matter would be looked into.Discussions were also held on the disbursal of medical assistance.
