Lucknow: KGMU referred a case of harassment of a senior woman faculty member allegedly by a male professor to the Internal Complaints Committee after she approached the State Women’s Commission seeking justice.According to the complaint, the incident took place on Oct 17 after a departmental purchase committee meeting, when the male professor allegedly misbehaved with the complainant and even tried to stop her forcefully. She informed the Teachers’ Association and later approached the university administration, but no action was taken for several weeks. After the matter reached the Women’s Commission on Nov 8, KGMU handed the case to its seven-member Vishakha Committee and directed an immediate inquiry.
