Recruitment process on in agri univs: Surya Pratap Shahi

Lucknow: High number of vacancies in agriculture colleges was blamed on “incompetence” of previous regime by agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi during question hour in the Vidhan Parishad on Tuesday. He said 246 out of 277 class II posts were vacant in Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, while 210 out of 490 class III posts were vacant. At Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya, 70 out of 265 sanctioned class II posts and and 364 out of 563 in class III posts were vacant.Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda has 69 vacant class II positions, against 153 and 29 out of 36 in class III. At Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology in Meerut, 78 out of 204 posts were vacant in class II and 47 out of 113 in class III. At Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences in Prayagraj, five posts are vacant against 93 in class II and one against 40 in class III. Man Singh Yadav of Samajwadi Party accused govt of not making serious efforts to filling vacancies and depriving SC/ST candidates of benefits of reservation. Shahi said process to carry out recruitment was on for various positions in all universities.
