Lucknow: Police on Sunday averted a major when alert personnel at the Tango-1 barrier near Gautampalli police station intercepted a family of 11, including five minors, who reached the spot with inflammable substances intending to set themselves ablaze.According to press note issued by Gautampalli police station, around 10:40 am, the group arrived near the barrier and began pouring the inflammable substance on themselves. “Quick action and presence of mind of the deployed force saved all 11 persons unhurt and brought them safely to the police station for questioning. Further legal action is underway,” said police, adding that at the of the incident was a land dispute between two groups of the same village under Asiwan police station in Unnao district. TNN
