Dr Sanjay elected IMA prez, Dr Shweta secy | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Dr Sanjay Saxena was elected president and Dr Shweta Srivastava secretary of Indian Medical Association, Lucknow Chapter, at the annual meeting of the association at its River Bank Colony office on Sunday.While Pranjal Agarwal and Dr Gurmeet Singh were elected vice-presidents unopposed, Dr Shweta emerged victorious after a fierce electoral battle to be elected to the prestigious position of secretary.“Dr Shweta brings with her a quiet strength, the kind that turns ideas into action and teams into a coordinated force. Over the years, she has earned respect not only for her medical expertise but for her ability to organise, streamline, and lead with purpose,” said a member.Among others, Dr Alok Maheshwari was elected joint secretary and Dr Anil Kumar Tripathi treasurer (unopposed). Dr Seema Singh, Dr Shilpi Maheshwari and Dr Nishi Tandon were elected executive members.The election process saw an unprecedented response from the members and more than 400 doctors between the age group 25 and 85 took part in the process.
