Power engineers to begin protest on Thursday | Lucknow News
Lucknow: The UP State Electricity Board Engineers’ Association will launch a phased protest from Nov 20 against the alleged harassment of engineers by energy management authorities. The association has appealed to CM Yogi Adityanath to intervene and restore a healthy work environment in power corporations.Association president Sanjay Singh Chauhan said a request was made on Nov 3 to UPPCL chairman to withdraw all punitive actions taken during the March 2023 agitation and the current movement through bilateral talks. “If these actions are not revoked, engineers will be compelled to start an attention-seeking programme from Nov 20,” he said.Association has urged the CM to intervene in the matter so that engineers can focus on improving power supply and implementing the Electricity Bill Relief Scheme 2025-26.
