Directed and written by Dominic Arun, ‘Lokah: Chapter One – Chandra’ is the first installment in a planned superhero cinematic universe titled Lokah. The mega-budget film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan in the titular superhero role, alongside Naslen in a key part.
Teaser packs a punch
The recently released teaser has set social media abuzz. It opens with Naslen’s character navigating a haunting, dystopian, factory-like landscape. The scene quickly shifts gears into adrenaline-fueled action. It shows the striking first appearance of Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra. The teaser closes with chilling graffiti on a wall—“She is coming.”
A world never seen before in Malayalam cinema
From the earlier first look poster to the teaser, it’s evident that ‘Lokah: Chapter One – Chandra’ is rooted in a visual and narrative style that’s fresh for Malayalam audiences. The cinematography is by Nimish Ravi and music by Jakes Bejoy. The editing section is handled by Chaman Chacko. Supporting roles will be played by Chandu Salim Kumar, Arun Kurian, and Shanti Balachandran.As Onam approaches, expectations are soaring—not just for the spectacle, but for the historic moment when India’s first lady superhero takes flight on the silver screen.On the other hand, Dulquer Salmaan’s last project in the Malayalam film industry was the actioner ‘King of Kotha’. He will be next seen in the ‘RDX’ fame Nahas Hidayath’s next film ‘I’m Game’. The movie features Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, along with the actors Antony Varghese, Parth Tiwari, Samyuktha Viswanathan and Mysskin (director), handling pivotal roles.
