IIT-BHU Achieves Record-breaking Placement Success in 2024-25 | Varanasi News
VARANASI: The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, continues to uphold its legacy of academic excellence and industry trust, achieving outstanding placement outcomes for the academic year 2024–25 (till 12 November 2025). The Training and Placement Cell of the Institute reported a total of 1,416 job offers received so far across all programmes, reflecting a strong recruiter response despite a globally evolving job landscape.Of these, 952 offers were made to B.Tech. students, while 297 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) were secured through internships and industry-linked projects. The highest package recorded stands at an impressive Rs 2.2 crore per annum, with an overall average package of Rs 24.49 lakh per annum.For the B.Tech. programme specifically, the Institute achieved a remarkable 92.33% placement rate, underscoring the continued faith of top recruiters in the quality of IIT (BHU) graduates. The average package for B.Tech. students was Rs 23.49 lakh per annum, while the highest offer reached Rs 1.68 crore per annum.In addition, the Institute facilitated 502 internship offers, providing students with valuable exposure to leading industries and emerging technologies. Some of the top recruiters for the 2024–25 placement season include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, Uber, ZS Associates, JPMorgan Chase & Co., De Shaw, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA, Reliance Industries, Mastercard, Databricks, McKinsey & Company, Deutsche Bank, Wells Fargo, Flipkart, Groww, Bajaj, Meesho, Piramal Finance, Square Point, Pacestock, Rubrik, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and Samsung, among others.Expressing his satisfaction over the stellar placement results, Prof. Amit Patra, Director, IIT (BHU), Varanasi, said that the consistently strong placement outcomes at IIT (BHU) reflect the Institute’s commitment to nurturing innovation, analytical thinking, and leadership among students. “We take immense pride in our graduates, whose competence, creativity, and integrity continue to earn recognition from top global recruiters.
