Biz Reform Action Plan Award to UP

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh was on Tuesday conferred the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) Award 2024 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for its outstanding performance in business entry facilitation, labour regulation, and land administration.The award was presented by Union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal to UP industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ at the Industry Promotion and Internal Trade meeting held at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan, New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh CM Dr Mohan Yadav was also present.Representing Uttar Pradesh, Nandi highlighted the state’s industrial growth journey under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s industrial landscape underwent a major transformation. “Precision in policy implementation strengthened investor confidence and improved the nation’s global standing,” he said.The minister credited Goyal’s regular dialogue with states for helping accelerate growth and resolve industrial challenges quickly. Uttar Pradesh consistently featured among top performers in ease of doing business and logistics rankings in recent years.Officials said reforms such as over 30 sectoral policies, single-window clearance system (Nivesh Mitra), and the deployment of Udyami Mitras made the investment process transparent.
