Youth groove to mashups as bands belt out tunes | Lucknow News

Lucknow: The audience enjoyed hip hop, folk, and Bollywood music in a programme titled ‘Kafov War of Bands’ organised by Uttarakhand Mahaparishad on Friday.Five bands participated in the programme, including ‘The Morning Star’, ‘Equinox’, ‘Original Note Band’, ‘Trinad Exclusion’, and ‘Rubaru’, setting the stage on fire. The Uttarakhandi mashup, including songs like ‘Shiv Kailashon Ke Vaasi’, was performed by Ramest folk band, while a powerful performance on ‘Jhumka Gira Re’ with drum beats and guitar was presented by Trinidad Explosion. Bollywood hit numbers such as ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Jhumka Gira Re’, and ‘Kajrare Kajrare Tere Kaare Kaare Naina’ were presented by Rubaru band. Among the visitors, mostly youngsters were seen grooving and enjoying with friends. President of the Uttarakhand Mahaparishad, Harish Chandra Pant, said, “Musical events like this are mostly liked and enjoyed by youngsters. I’m happy that people of Lucknow also came to know how melodious pahadi songs are.”
