‘Victory procession’ at LU leads to chaos | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Chaos ensued at Lucknow University after a group of hostellers, who were arrested earlier on charges of violence, took out a ‘victory procession’ on the campus on Friday along with their supporters after being released on bail.Proctor Rakesh Dwivedi along with the police intervened to disperse the crowd. However, many students described the incident as violation of campus discipline as many who participated in the procession are regular defaulters, with some still under suspension or facing show-cause notices. They also expressed concern over presence of outsiders in the procession. Two days ago, a similar procession was taken out by the day scholars facing disciplinary action.
