Like UP, countdown for mafia inBihar is set to begin, says Yogi | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday urged the people of Bihar to rise above the politics of identity to stand firmly with development and nationalism.Addressing election rallies in West Champaran and Sitamarhi, Yogi said that just like Uttar Pradesh, mafia rule in Bihar will also end. “The countdown for the dynastic mafia has begun,” he said. Launching a scathing attack on the RJD–Congress alliance, Yogi said Bihar moved from “kidnapping to development” under NDA rule. Campaigning for former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and BJP candidate Renu Devi in the Bettiah constituency, CM Yogi said that between 1990 and 2005, during RJD’s rule, the state witnessed over 60 caste massacres and 30,000 kidnappings. “At that time, even engineers, doctors, children, and traders used to get kidnapped,” he said. He said professional mafia and criminals thrived under RJD’s patronage, while under his govt in Uttar Pradesh, “mafia have been crushed under bulldozers.” “Never let rioters or criminals taste power — every time you do, people pay the price,” he said. He said that those who questioned Ram and Janaki must be taught a lesson. “Jo Ram Ka Nahi, Vo Humare Kisi Kaam Ka Nahi,” he said, addressing a rally in support of BJP candidate Gayatri Devi and JDU candidate Nagendra Raut, who are contesting from Parihar and Susand assembly seats of Sitamarhi district. Yogi also addressed back-to-back rallies in Bagha and Bettiah assembly seats of West Champaran. Yogi announced that PM Modi will visit Ayodhya on Nov 25, where the Ram Darbar, Hanumangarhi, Sugriv Fort, and Jatayu statue now form part of a living heritage of gratitude. Drawing a spiritual connection between Parihar and Gorakhpur, Yogi said that people from the region come to Gorakhpur to offer Khichdi to Baba Gorakhnath. “This ancient bond links Ram and Janaki through faith and devotion,” he said. Taking a swipe at the opposition, Yogi asked who was responsible for “pushing Bihar’s youth into an identity crisis.” “Bihar gave India Lord Buddha, Mahavira, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Jayaprakash Narayan, and Karpoori Thakur — but RJD and Congress reduced this glorious land to corruption and anarchy,” he charged. Yogi said that in the last 11 years, both the face and destiny of India changed under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. “Welfare schemes reached every home, 80 crore people received free rations, 50 crore have health insurance, 12 crore benefited from Ujjwala Yojana, 4 crore got housing, and 3 crore received free electricity connections. The NDA ensures these benefits reach every poor person without discrimination,” he said. The UP CM said that what Congress couldn’t do in 65 years, PM Modi did in the last 11 years. “Over 46 crore Jan Dhan accounts were opened, ensuring that money for the poor and women goes directly to their accounts,” he said. Yogi lashed out at the Congress, RJD, and SP for dividing society along caste lines, urging voters to unite and deliver a strong reply to their “mafia and jungle raj.” He accused Congress of following the British legacy by pushing farmers into starvation, while RJD exploited them for power. Campaigning for BJP candidates Ram Singh (Bagaha) and Nand Kishore Ram (Ramnagar), Yogi launched a sharp attack on the opposition, terming the Grand Alliance as a “bundle of lies” which comprised those who grabbed land from the poor, embezzled animal fodder, and deprived the youth of jobs. He said Bihar began its journey towards good governance only after the NDA govt led by Nitish Kumar came to power in 2005, laying the foundation for peace, progress, and public welfare. Yogi said that the state now boasts robust road, rail, and air connectivity, uninterrupted power supply, metro services, and clean drinking water in every household. Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan, West Champaran MP Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, UP ministers Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu and Somendra Tomar, BJP district president Rupak Srivastava, JDU district president Shatrughan Prasad Kushwaha, and RLM district president Shailesh Kushwaha were also present at the public meeting.
