City doc shares view on POCT at China meet

Lucknow: Dr Lokendra Gupta, director of Emergency Medicine and Trauma at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow, participated as an expert Speaker representing India at the Global POCT Summit 2025 held in Guangzhou city of China.This prestigious international conference was organized by Wondfo in collaboration with IFCC (International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine). Dr Gupta was one of only two expert physicians invited from India — the other was from AIIMS Delhi. At the conference, he shared his insights on innovations in Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) in emergency medicine, their practical applications, and its role in strengthening emergency medicine in India. Experts from more than 30 countries participated in this global event, which included leading specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine from around the world. “It was a matter of immense pride and honor for me to get the opportunity to represent India. This experience was extremely inspiring and useful,” Dr Gupta said.
