Lucknow: A day scholar was attacked by hostellers at Lucknow University‘s commerce department canteen on Monday afternoon when an altercation turned violent.Tensions between the two students escalated rapidly after a verbal exchange turned into a physical confrontation. The situation worsened when the day scholar was reportedly surrounded and beaten by a group of hostellers, leaving him with serious head injuries. “We are closely monitoring the matter,” said Rakesh Dwivedi, proctor of Lucknow University.
