Haryana shocker: Sanitation workers told to click pictures, give proof of periods

ROHTAK: In a shocking incident from Haryana, women sanitation workers who reported late to duty were allegedly told to undress and click pictures of their private parts to prove they were menstruating.The incident, which occurred on Oct 26 at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, came to light after protests erupted Thursday. An FIR has been filed against three university officials, two of them men. One has claimed he was falsely implicated for “laughing at the scene from a distance.”No arrests had been made till late Friday. The university has suspended one supervisor and formed an inquiry committee. Haryana State Commission for Women has also sought a report, calling allegations “deeply disturbing.
