57% farmers get ID cards underAgristack scheme | Lucknow News

Lucknow: Principal secretary (agriculture) Ravindra on Wednesday said the department has so far issued 57% of farmer identity cards under the Agristack scheme. Against a target of 26,421,350, the state govt has managed to issue ID cards to 15,069,897 farmers.“A special campaign to issue farmer identity cards was launched on Oct 16. During the campaign, a joint team of agriculture and revenue department officials set up camps in villages to issue farmer identity cards. Under the scheme, farmers will be provided benefits of govt schemes based on these farmer identity cards,” he said. On Wednesday, chief secretary reviewed the progress and instructed officials to complete the issuance of IDs on priority. TNN
