Min reviews preps for PM’s Ayodhya visit, ‘parikrama’ | Lucknow News

Ayodhya: On a visit to Ayodhya, agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi reviewed preparations for the upcoming 14 kosi parikrama and 5 kosi parikrama to be organised on Oct 30 and Nov 1, respectively.Shahi said that the district administration is working to ensure security and facilities for devotees in Ayodhya. He reviewed arrangements of cleanliness, drinking water, medical facilities, security, lighting arrangements, traffic, parking, transportation and other facilities for devotees.Shahi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Ayodhya on Nov 25 to attend an event for the installation of a flag on the main spire of the Ram temple and on other temples in the complex. Preparations for the event have commenced, Shahi said.“Widening of 5 kosi parikrama path has been completed, while work on 14 kosi parikrama route is progressing. Efforts are on to complete work by Dec 31,” he said.Meanwhile, security and operational reviews were conducted at Ayodhya Airport in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ayodhya visit.Airport director Dhirendra Singh said, “As flight movement increases during VIP movement, we have arranged for parking at other airports. Special attention is being given to security and cleanliness.”
