New IRITM DG takes charge

Ranjan Prakash Thakur took charge as the director general of the Indian Railways Institute of Transport Management (IRITM) on Monday. Before this, he served as the chief vigilance officer in Oil & Natural Gas. Thakur emphasized his commitment to strengthening IRITM as a centre of excellence in transport management and a leading institute for training Traffic officers. An officer of the 1989 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), Thakur brings over 30 years of experience in public service. He has held key positions in Indian Railways, NTPC, Doordarshan, and Jammu & Kashmir govt.
