Truck mowsdown teen boy in Shravasti | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A 14-year-old student was killed while his two brothers were injured after being hit by a speeding truck in Ikauna area of Shravasti on Saturday morning, police said. The deceased, Deepak Rao, was a Class 7 student and a native of Budhni village of Bahraich. According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when Deepak was heading towards Jagatjeet Inter College along with his brothers for their morning run. As they neared the college, a speeding truck hit them, killing Deepak on the spot. His brothers, Raj Rao (18) and Prince Rao (13), sustained injuries and were taken to CHC, Ikauna. However, Raj was referred to Bahraich District Hospital in critical condition while Prince was discharged after first aid. SHO Akhilesh Pandey of Ikauna Police Station said the bus was seized and an FIR registered while the body was sent for postmortem. The victim’s father works as a labourer in Delhi. tnn
