'Kingdom' Box Office Collection Day 9: Vijay Deverakonda starrer sees collections dip on second Friday; Earns just Rs 1 crore

Vijay Deverakonda‘s latest spy action thriller ‘Kingdom’, which was released on July 31, opened with mixed reviews, but after good initial earnings, the movie has slowed down dramatically at the box office.According to the early estimates from trade analyst Sacnilk, ‘Kingdom’ made approximately Rs 1 crore on its second Friday, which brings the total domestic box office collections to Rs 48.40 crore.The film’s day-wise India net collections are Rs 18 crore on day 1, Rs 7.5 crore on day 2, Rs 8 crore on day 3, Rs 7.4 crore on day 4, Rs 2 crore on day 5, Rs 1.75 crore on day 6, Rs 1.5 crore on day 7, Rs 1.26 crore on day 8, and Rs 1 crore on day 9. The film’s total now stands at an estimated Rs 48.40 crore.

Theatre occupancy

In the Telugu-speaking states, Kingdom recorded an overall occupancy of 15.91% on Friday, August 8. The morning shows started slowly at 13.58%, with a slight improvement in the afternoon at 16.91%. The evening shows dipped slightly to 15.12%, but the night shows performed better, recording an 18.04% occupancy.In Tamil Nadu, the film registered an overall occupancy of 15.21% on the same day. Morning shows began at a modest 12.32%, improving marginally to 15.56% in the afternoon. The evening shows saw a dip to 13.30%, but like in Telugu states, night shows performed better, reaching 19.65% occupancy.

About the film

‘Kingdom’ is directed by ‘Jersey’ fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, starring Vijay Deverakonda as Surya “Suri,” an undercover police constable who tries to reconnect with his estranged brother while attempting to take down a dangerous smuggling operation in Sri Lanka. Bhagyashri Borse, Satya Dev and Ayyappa P Sharma star in supporting roles as well.
