LDA’s Shakti Utsav for equality | Lucknow News

Lucknow: Lucknow Development Authority celebrated women’s empowerment under Mission Shakti with ‘Shakti Utsav’ at the Gomti Riverfront on Thursday with a pledge to take the movement further. The event drew a large turnout of women, school and college students, and civic officials, who came together to promote awareness about equality, safety and self-reliance. Cultural and musical performances by students from Arya Kanya Inter College, Govt Girls Inter College and Shri Ram Academy added colour to the evening. Malvika Singh performed Bharatanatyam, Aayiti from BBD played the guitar and Yashasvi presented a tabla presentation, earning applause. LDA chairman Vijay Vishwas Pant said, “Shakti Utsav is a movement, a reminder that women’s empowerment lies at the core of a strong society.” A street play by 1090 Women Power Line team highlighted women’s safety measures.
