Aastha Path to ease pilgrims’ progress to Ayodhya

Ayodhya/Lucknow: To ease movement of devotees and tourists coming to the temple town, Yogi Adityanath govt has set up another wide corridor. To be used primarily by pedestrians, the 225-metre long ‘Aastha Path’ (path of belief), has been commissioned with a budget of Rs 5 crore. The widened road corridor would facilitate movement of individuals and families between Ram Gulela temple and Ram temple. Walk on the route amidst old temples and religious structures would enrich spiritual experience of the visitors. Moreover, it would also link ‘Bhakti Path’ to Ram temple directly as Aastha Path is going to serve as the link route. Bhakti Path witnesses heavy rush of devotees throughout the day as it connects the highly revered Hanuman Garhi to Ram temple. Construction of Aastha Path began on Dec 12, 2023 and has been executed by Public Works Department. PWD executive engineer Shashi Bhushan Singh said the corridor included key infrastructure such as utility ducts, drainage, water supply pipelines, and a concrete road. To prevent monsoon waterlogging, an advanced drainage system has been installed. Street lighting and aesthetic elements are nearing completion, while the recently approved footpath construction is expected to finishby end of Aug.
