SP spreads anarchy while BJP believes in devpt: Yogi

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday accused the Samajwadi Party of causing anarchy, unrest, and opposing social justice and Dalit rights. In Jalaun, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 305 projects worth over Rs 1,900 crore, the CM referred to a statement by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and commented: “I was reading the SP chief’s statement today, who sees communalism in India’s social justice pioneers and saint tradition and views rioters as messengers of peace. However, BJP‘s double engine govt has shown these people their rightful place.” He said that some people, who harboured a misconception that there should be riots in the state before festivals, as happened in the previous SP govt’s regime, tried this time as well. However, the BJP govt would not allow anyone “to dampen Hindu enthusiasm.” “This govt doesn’t grovel before rioters, but makes rioters grovel and ensures that festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm and security.” “SP did not believe in making memorials for pioneers of social justice and instead demolished existing ones,” the CM said, adding that after coming to power in 2012, the party started spreading anarchy by allowing mafia to flourish, robbing the youth of employment, and making the environment insecure for women. “At that time their leaders would say that boys will be boys, and they make mistakes,” he said, referring to a statement by then party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mentioning thinkers who led and contributed to the socialist movement, like Dr Ram Manohar Lohia, Acharya Narendra Dev, Janeshwar Mishra, and Mohan Singh, the CM said that SP had now become a gathering of goons, professional mafia, and criminals. Their only intention was to loot the public, whereas the BJP govt was ensuring security, jobs, etc. “Be wary of SP’s hooliganism. ‘Batenge to katenge, ek rahenge to safe rahenge’. If any farmer, poor, deprived, weak, daughter, farmer, or trader is exploited or oppressed, we will take such action that many generations will remember,” the CM said. Talking about development in the area, the CM said that his govt would transform Jalaun into the most fertile land through the Panchnada project. “BJP has lifted UP from a sick state and established it as a developed state. UP has emerged as the growth engine of India’s economy. Every section of society is being provided benefits of govt schemes,” the CM said.
