Lucknow: State president of the Rashtriya Lok Dal trader wing, Rohit Agarwal on Wednesday welcomed the NDA govt’s decision to overhaul the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime. RLD is an ally of the BJP-led NDA.Speaking to reporters in Lucknow, Agarwal said that the bold move not only brings relief to millions of traders across the country but will also provide widespread benefits to ordinary consumers. He said that the GST overhaul will inject new enthusiasm and dynamism into the country’s entire economy while bringing new energy and opportunities to all categories of businesses, small, medium, and large. Agarwal said that transparency in business will increase, cash flow will be facilitated, and businesses will expand. “Furthermore, consumers will benefit from lower prices on everyday goods and services, increasing their purchasing power,” he said.
