Protests hit services at KGMU Trauma Centre

Lucknow: Medical services at the Trauma Centre of KGMU were disrupted late Monday night as nursing officers and junior doctors staged separate protests. The agitation followed a clash between the two groups two days earlier, which escalated after the administration suspended four junior resident doctors. The standoff, which began around 11pm, caused major difficulties for critical patients. The protest ended after the administration assured that the VC would meet the junior residents at 11am. KGMU spokesperson and dean of paramedics Dr KK Singh confirmed that a team has been formed to investigate the incident.
