Wolf drags away 3-year-old boy in Bahraich | Lucknow News
Bahraich: A wolf reportedly dragged away a 3-year-old boy from his home in Gandhu Jhalla village of Bahraich on Saturday morning right in the presence of his mother.The incident occurred around 10am when one Raksha Ram’ son was drinking milk on the verandah of his house. His mother was sitting nearby in the courtyard when the wolf suddenly appeared, grabbed the child and dragged him away. On hearing the mother’s screams, family members and villagers rushed to the spot. Armed with sticks, they began searching for the wolf and the child, but so far, neither has been traced. Divisional forest officer Bahraich Ram Singh Yadav said 32 teams have been deployed and drones are being used to track the movement of the wild animal. Reports show that for the past 10 days, three people have been killed while 6 others have been injured in wild animal attacks. The repeated attacks have sparked anger among villagers, who are demanding that the animal be captured at the earliest to prevent further tragedies.
