AIMIM’s state chief booked

Lucknow: Political row erupted in UP after AIMIM state president Shaukat Ali allegedly made derogatory remarks against Maharaja Suheldev, calling him a “dacoit.” Hazratganj police on Wednesday registered FIR against Ali following complaint lodged by Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa), whose state office in charge Dharmprakash Chaudhary, said in the complaint that Ali made the remarks during television debates and on social media, claiming that Salar Masud Ghazi liberated people from Suheldev’s atrocities. The complaint alleged the comment was baseless, historically distorted and aimed at hurting sentiments of Rajbhar community and a large section of society.Chaudhary said Suheldev was revered across India as a valiant warrior and national hero and trains, postage stamps, medical colleges and memorial parks were named after him.
