Lucknow: To raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, particularly during morning, the Almond Board of California hosted a panel discussion, ‘Awaken Your Day with Ayurvedic Wisdom’, to explore how small, mindful habits in the morning, such as including almonds, can play a significant role in long-term wellness.Ayurveda expert Dr Madhumitha Krishnan said, “Practices like waking up early, oil pulling, yoga, meditation, eating soaked almonds, and drinking warm water for hydration can harmonise the body and mind, leaving one refreshed, energised, and focused. Eating soaked almonds has been a morning ritual for generations, given their role in promoting overall well-being, balancing ‘doshas’, and supporting skin health.”Nutritionist Ritika Samaddar, regional head of dietetics at Max Healthcare, New Delhi, said, “The right nutrition in the morning is the best way to spark energy and focus. Almonds, in particular, are rich in 15 nutrients which help regulate energy levels, curb cravings, and support long-term health.” TNN
