Viksit UP ’47: Over two lakhshare vision for state’s future | Lucknow News



Lucknow: Almost 10 days into the public outreach campaign for the Viksit Uttar Pradesh-2047 programme to gather feedback from citizens for the vision document, govt’s team of over 400 intellectuals held meetings with citizen groups across all 75 districts. Nearly two lakh suggestions and feedback were received through various means by Tuesday.A govt spokesperson said that of the total suggestions, around 1.35 lakh are from rural areas and around 65,000 from urban areas. As per age group, around 75,000 suggestions are from people under 31 years, more than one lakh are from those between the ages of 31 and 60 years and over 25,000 from those above 60 years.“Among sectors under which people have responded, education has emerged as a major issue for the people, with over 70,000 suggestions linked to it. Behind by almost 30,000 suggestions are urban and rural development. Around 15,000 suggestions were received for the health sector, about 16,000 for social welfare, and more than 27,000 for agriculture,” said the official.The most feedback has come from districts like Deoria, Kanpur Dehat, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Maharajganj, Pratapgarh, and Gorakhpur. From these districts alone, more than 69,670 feedback entries were received.Highlighting some of the suggestions, the official said that Chitra Parikh and Sachin Bhardwaj from Agra proposed making graduation the minimum educational qualification for MLAs, ensuring 50% women’s participation in cow shelter committees and improving hostels.Kunwar Urjaswit Singh from Lucknow suggested creating a data centre grid across the state and developing a fintech-and-analytics city in Lucknow to boost the state’s global service capacity and data security. He also suggested introducing AI co-pilots and integrated citizen portals to enhance real-time decision-making and service efficiency, a space-tech policy, and setting up advanced educational and research institutions to achieve self-reliance in defence-related space technology.Among other issues that have been highlighted are challenges faced by farmers. One proposal for dealing with adulteration of cattle feed is a scanner app that can verify feed quality and also scan animals to provide information on their breed, milk yield, and overall health. It has also been suggested that farmers involved in animal husbandry, fisheries and beekeeping should be included under insurance schemes.
