53 paintings depict journey of life | Lucknow News
Lucknow: An art exhibition titled ‘Whispers of Catharsis’ by Soumitra Chakravarty began at Kala Srot art gallery on Tuesday. The exhibition is open till Thursday from 11am to 8pm daily. The exhibition features 53 paintings on themes of solitude, depth, beauty of nature including rivers, moonlight and universe, showing man’s journey through life, pain and sorrows. The paintings are in oil, acrylic and pastel colours. A teacher by profession, Chakravarty said, “I have been painting since childhood, but could not pursue a career as an artist as I paint only when I am inspired and draw whatever I imagine on canvas.”
