High court seeks reply from SRMU, BCI, UGC | Lucknow News
Lucknow: The Lucknow bench of Allahabad HC on Thursday sought reply from the Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), Bar Council of India (BCI) and UGC on a PIL filed regarding problems of law students in the said university.The court has ordered next hearing of the matter after three weeks. A bench of Justice Rajan Roy and Justice Manjive Shukla issued this order on a PIL filed by Saurabh Singh.The petition also raised questions about the BCI granting recognition to the university overnight on Sept 3, 2025, after manhandling of ABVP workers by the police. It has been said SRMU has played with the future of the students by enrolling them in law course despite the university not having recognition for legal education before Sept 3. TNNAfter hearing the matter, the court has asked the above parties to file their reply on the petition.
