Fake recruitment scam detected, FIR filed | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A sensational recruitment scam has come under police lens after director (paramedical), Dr Ranjana Khare lodged an FIR at Wazirganj police station on Monday alleging large-scale fraud in the 2016 x-ray technician recruitment.According to the FIR, at least six people impersonated Arpit Singh, son of Anil Kumar Singh (Agra), a genuine candidate who appeared at serial number 80 in the Subordinate Services Selection Commission’s merit list. Each of the six candidates used separate Aadhaar details but identical parentage to obtain postings in Balrampur, Farrukhabad, Rampur, Banda, Amroha, and Shamli. The impostors allegedly drew salaries for nearly nine years, causing huge losses to the health department. Dr Khare attached 18 pages of documentary evidence, leading police to register the case under forgery and fraud charges.Four of the six “Arpit” who were posted in Agra, Balrampur, Budaun, and Rampur are on the run. In Banda, one impersonator was booked earlier in 2017. Inquiries in Etah revealed that one “Arpit Singh” was actually Ajit, son of Ramlal.Officials said the impostors have been drawing salaries since 2016, and recovering nine years of public money would be a major challenge. Their posts are expected to be declared vacant and adjusted in upcoming recruitments.DCP, west zone, Vishwajeet Srivastava said that the FIR had been lodged in Balrampur, Farrukhabad, Rampur, Banda, Amroha, and Shamli under IPC sections 419 (cheating by impersonation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), and 471 (using forged documents as genuine).
