Lucknow: Light rain and a cloudy sky are expected to persist in the city for the next five days. According to the weatherman, easterlies and moisture-laden winds will bring light rain and cloudy skies, with a possibility of thundery development.The city was lashed by rain on Friday afternoon, providing relief from sultry weather conditions. Maximum humidity levels reached 92%. The highest and lowest temperatures recorded were 34.1 and 24.9 degrees Celsius, respectively. A rainfall of 2.2 mm was recorded at Amausi Airport. “At present, the monsoon trough is in the south; hence the possibility of heavy rain is not very likely. Due to easterlies, the city may receive light rain. It will be generally a cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle,” said Mohammad Danish, senior scientist at the state met department. He said on Saturday it will be partly cloudy with the possibility of thundery development. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. Meanwhile, in the state, a thundershower is very likely at isolated places.
