Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has a detailed industrial policy which includes separate policies for sectors like leather and footwear, IT & Electronics and startups, and there is immense potential for businesses to take advantage of incentives and subsidies, CEO of YEIDA and Noida International Airport, Rakesh Kumar Singh said.“Multi-pronged road connectivity with Yamuna Industrial Development Authority makes it unique and different from other authorities. It facilitates ease of transportation for the industry,” he said, speaking at an interactive session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII.)“YEIDA is the only authority which has an international airport (Jewar) in its ambit, providing faster transportation to the rest of the world. This comes as a blessed feature for logistics and cargo transportation organisations,” he added.Singh said that with the presence of a single-window approval system and a dedicated body for investment promotion and development (Invest UP), the ecosystem of industrial growth in UP had touched an unparalleled level.Focusing on infrastructure development, he said that YEIDA had the largest land bank of 3.5 lakh hectares available for investment. He said that the proposal for creation of four development centres was also under advanced planning. Referring to the current global scenario, he highlighted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vocal for Local vision.Chairperson, CII, Upasana Arora lauded the UP govt’s commitment to industrial development. She said that they were committed to collaborating with the govt in aligning the growth agenda of the state with that of CII.
