Burglars strike bike showroom, escape with cash, spare parts worth Rs 3.5 lakh | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Burglars broke into a motorcycle showroom in Malihabad on Tuesday night and escaped with cash and vehicle parts worth nearly Rs3.5 lakh. Police said the thieves targeted a motorcycle showroom owned by Satendra Singh, a resident of Tilaswa village in Malihabad. Singh told investigators that on Wednesday morning, supervisor Ajay and a mechanic arrived at the showroom and found the lock broken. They informed Singh, who rushed to the spot.As per Singh’s complaint, the thieves looted about Rs2 lakh cash along with batteries and spare parts worth around Rs1.5 lakh. They also took away the showroom’s CCTV DVR system.Inspector Surendra Singh Bhati, in charge of Malihabad police station, said that an FIR was registered. “The case is under investigation, and efforts are on to identify and nab the culprits,” he said.The burglary has sparked concern among traders, who demanded stronger night patrolling in the area.
