Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has begun work on widening the road connecting Kanpur Road to Anant Nagar Yojna. The project, estimated at Rs 35 crore, will include road widening, construction of a divider, RCC drain and trench.LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar inspected the project on Wednesday and reviewed the progress. In addition, a two km-long, 18-metre-wide road will be built and widened between Nadarganj turn and Amausi bridge and between Kisan Path and Samda police post. Officials have been directed to secure clearances from UPCDA and the Public Works Department before starting work.Alongside road construction, a 220 KVA substation will be set up in Sector-6 at a cost of Rs 9.89 crore. Chief engineer Navneet Sharma said tenders have been issued for the substation and for developing parks.
