Min leads LMC plantation drive | Lucknow News
A sapling plantation drive was organised on Tuesday at Radha Nikunj Park, Sector 8, Vrindavan Yojana, under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign by the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. The programme was inaugurated by state finance and parliamentary affairs minister, Suresh Kumar Khanna, who planted a red sandalwood sapling. Around 400 saplings were planted, including medicinal, fruit-bearing, and shade-giving species. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal planted a ficus benjamina sapling and said the initiative gave people opportunity to connect with nature as well as their mother.
