Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai on Saturday visited Narni village in Sitapur to offer condolences to the family of Saurabh alias Ravi Dixit, who was killed in a tiger attack while cutting grass in the fields.According to the post-mortem report, the tiger first clamped down on Saurabh’s neck, breaking his spinal cord and rendering him unable to cry for help. It then struck his head with its paw, causing a fatal injury.The incident has triggered panic in the village. Locals allege that tiger attacks have been a recurring threat in Sitapur and nearby villages. Ajay Rai demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation, a govt job for the victim’s family, and immediate deployment of security forces in the affected areas.
