‘Harassed’, NCC cadet ends life | Lucknow News
Lucknow: A 20-year-old NCC cadet, student of BA part two in a govt college, ended her life by hanging herself late on Thursday night. The incident came to light on Friday when her younger sister went to wake her up and found her hanging in her room. The grieving father filed a complaint against the neighbours on Sunday. He revealed that his daughter had been under mental stress for few days. He accused a neighbour of harassing his daughter with phone calls. When he confronted the mother of the accused, they allegedly responded with abusive language and threatened to share an obscene video of his daughter.According to the family, an argument reportedly took place on Thursday night as well. Following the altercation, the girl retreated to her room where she later committed suicide. The local police confirmed that an FIR has been registered, and investigations are underway.ACP, Hazratganj, Vikas Jaiswal said that an FIR under the BNS sections 108 (abetment of suicide) and 351 (2) (criminal intimidation) has been registered against the accused.
